Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as an In Home Caregiver, providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in their own homes. Whether you’re seeking full-time or PRN (as-needed) opportunities, this role allows you to make a meaningful difference by supporting clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being. You will work closely with clients of all ages, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Your energetic and caring approach will help promote independence, safety, and quality of life for those you serve.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry
- Support clients during outings or community activities to foster social engagement and independence
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to transfer clients with mobility challenges
- Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to healthcare professionals promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
- Hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia is a strong plus
- Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance is essential
- Experience in social work or long-term care environments demonstrates a compassionate understanding of client needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or memory care are advantageous
