3-6 Montessori Primary Teacher Needed!

Toad Hill Montessori, Inc. is continuing to grow! We are currently accepting resumes from certified Montessori teachers from MACTE accredited teacher training centers (AMS, MCI and AMI diplomas are preferred) for ages 3-6y.

We are a nature based Montessori program nestled on 15 acres on the far east-side of Madison. Tuition benefits may be available for dependents enrolled in our programs, based on available openings. We are also able to accommodate student teachers who are currently enrolled in a MACTE approved Teacher Training Center. We are also hiring for additional assistants and support staff.

The Primary Montessori teacher must be fully Montessori Certified.The Montessori teacher works with an assistant in a classroom of 20-30 children between the ages of 2 ½- 6 years old and is responsible for maintaining consistency of classroom routines, guiding children, overseeing, tracking and documenting each child’s development, preparing materials, and overall classroom management. Montessori staff interact directly with children 6 to 8 hours a day. This requires the physical ability to lift and carry children, as well as working on the floor, or at eye level with children. We use Montessori methods and materials in our environments, which requires a fully certified Montessori Teacher who plans the daily activities and curriculum. All staff are required to comply with State of Wisconsin child care rules and regulations, City of Madison Accreditation standards, and with the policies of Toad Hill Montessori, Inc.. Coursework specific to child development is required in addition to SID, SBS, CPR, and Mandatory Reporter training.
