Fun and Creative Childcare

Community Horizons is assisting a family in the Appleton area to find a childcare provider for their 9-year-old daughter. This child does have special needs, along with medium-higher support needs. In this position, the childcare provider would be taking this young girl to fun activities and keeping her safe and engaged during these activities.

Location:

- Appleton, Wi

Available Shift:

- Saturdays 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

- As-needed weekdays

- Very Flexible schedule

Wage:

- $17.97/Hour

Care tasks:

• Talk with parents about what the plan would be for the day
• Providing 1:1 supervision
• Provide Transportation to and from outings
• Offer emotional support when needed
• Activities at Sensory gyms (YMCA, Etc.)
• Engaging in de-escalation tactics as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s Licenses and reliable vehicle.
• Able to pass a Wisconsin background check
• Experience working with adults or children with complex needs ( Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Etc. )
• Someone who is Mature
• Proven dependability
• Willingness to learn and accept coaching
• Committed to providing care for children and adults with special needs.
• Someone who can understand de-escalation

- And being active outside

Pay: From $17.97 per hour
