Position Title: Fun Club Assistant
Reports To: Recreation Activity Coordinator
Employment Type: Part-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Fun Club Assistant to help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children. This role supports the Recreation Activity Coordinator in delivering recreational and educational programs that encourage creativity, participation, and positive social interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and leading a variety of recreational and educational activities, games, and events.
  • Supervise children to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Engage with participants in a positive, supportive, and encouraging manner.
  • Help set up and clean up activity areas, ensuring proper use and care of equipment and materials.
  • Support daily activity schedules and ensure smooth transitions between programs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates as needed.
  • Monitor behavior and address conflicts calmly and constructively.
  • Provide administrative support to the Recreation Activity Coordinator as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled.
  • Previous experience working with children in a recreational, educational, or childcare setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Energetic, creative, and passionate about working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.

Working Conditions

  • Flexible schedule; hours may vary based on program needs.
  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor recreational settings.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
