Functional & Cellular Medicine PA or NP
Full-time | Part-to-full-time path available | On-site · Mt. Pleasant, SC | Cash-pay office | $100,000 – $140,000 DOE
ABOUT THE ROLE
InterveneMD is a rapidly growing, fully cash-based longevity and regenerative medicine practice in Mt. Pleasant, SC. We exist to help high performers overcome the brain fog, pain, poor sleep, and low energy that holds them back from showing up fully at work, at home, and everywhere in between. We operate outside the insurance system by design, so our providers spend their time practicing medicine at the highest level.
We are looking for a credentialed PA or NP with serious depth in both functional medicine and cellular medicine to join our clinical team. This role is not for someone exploring functional medicine, it’s for someone already practicing it, actively pursuing IFM certification, or certified. If you think in terms of root causes, biological systems, and cellular optimization, you’ll fit right in.
This position is designed as full-time, but we are open to starting part-time with a clear path to full-time for the right candidate.
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF...
We’d rather be honest upfront than waste your time or ours. Please stop reading here if any of the following sounds like you:
→ You’ve stopped being curious. You learned what you needed to get certified and you’re done. The idea of staying ahead of evolving science, protocols, and therapies feels like a burden, not a privilege.
→ You’re coasting. You want a predictable, low-accountability role where showing up is enough. Grit, excellence, and proactivity aren’t words you’d use to describe yourself on your best day.
→ You’re indifferent to patient outcomes. Helping someone reclaim their energy, clear their brain fog, move without pain, or feel genuinely well again doesn’t light you up. It’s just a job.
→ You resist change. New modalities, evolving protocols, and an entrepreneurial pace feel threatening rather than exciting.
→ Hospitality feels beneath you. Warmth, attentiveness, and going above and beyond for patients isn’t something you think about — it’s not why you went into medicine.
→ You’re looking for a steppingstone into functional medicine. If you’re not already in the work- studying it, practicing it, living it — this is not the right starting point.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
→ Conduct comprehensive functional medicine evaluations using advanced diagnostics (DUTCH, GI-MAP, micronutrient panels, metabolomics, and beyond)
→ Design and manage cellular medicine protocols including peptide therapy, ozone therapy, and other regenerative interventions
→ Develop individualized treatment plans integrating nutrition, supplementation, hormone optimization, GLP-1 protocols, and lifestyle medicine
→ Collaborate with Dr. Joye and our clinical team across service lines including longevity, medical weight loss, and orthopedic/regenerative medicine
→ Build deep patient relationships through extended visits (60–90 minutes). No 15-minute appointments, no rushed care
→ Educate and empower patients using clear language that builds understanding, not dependency
WHAT YOU BRING
→ Active PA-C or NP licensure in South Carolina (or eligibility)
→ IFM certification, IFMCP in progress, or equivalent formal functional medicine training is required
→ Experience with cellular medicine modalities such as peptide therapy, ozone therapy, and regenerative therapies
→ Proven ability to order and interpret advanced functional labs well beyond conventional panels
→ A patient-first communication style where you can translate complex physiology without talking down to people
→ Comfort in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial practice where protocols evolve and clinical autonomy is real
OUR CORE VALUES

We practice unreasonable hospitality for our patients and for each other. Every interaction is an opportunity to make someone feel genuinely seen and cared for.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
→ Base salary $100,000 – $140,000 + depending on experience
→ Performance-based bonus structure
→ Health insurance and 401(k)
→ Complimentary and discounted access to all InterveneMD services such as peptides, regenerative orthopedics, aesthetics, ozone, cellular medicine, and more
→ Continuing education support toward IFM certification and advanced clinical training
→ A collaborative, physician-led environment where your clinical voice matters
HOW TO APPLY
If this sounds like the role you’ve been waiting for, we want to hear from you, not a template. Please follow these instructions carefully as how you apply tells us a lot about who you are.
1. Email your application to jpierce@intervenemd.com with the subject line: “I’m Ready to Intervene.” Applications without this exact subject line will not be reviewed.
2. Attach your resume and a cover letter. Your cover letter should tell us who you are as a clinician, but not just what you’ve done, include why it matters to you.
3. Include a short video (2–3 minutes, filmed on your phone is fine) introducing yourself. Tell us what drew you to functional and cellular medicine, and what unreasonable hospitality means to you in a clinical setting.
4. Answer these two questions in the body of your email:
a) What does unreasonable hospitality mean to you in a clinical setting?
b) Describe your hands-on experience with ozone therapy, peptide protocols, or cellular medicine modalities.
