Job Overview

We are looking for a senior Banner Techno / Functional Consultant with strong experience in Ellucian Banner 9 (BANNER9) to support, configure, and enhance higher-education ERP systems. This role combines functional consulting, technical development, and stakeholder collaboration, with a focus on Middle East higher education and community college environments. Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is required.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for functional setup, configuration, and support of BANNER9 modules including General, Admissions, Student, and Accounts Receivable, ensuring all configurations are properly documented. The role involves setting up Banner in line with Middle East higher-education standards and supporting community college business processes across admissions, registrar, bursar, records, advising, student activities, CAPP, and special needs functions.

The position also includes developing and customizing Banner Admin and Self-Service interfaces using Banner Extensibility, Page Builder, and Groovy/Grails, including custom pages, menus, branding, and themes. The consultant will design and maintain Oracle database objects, write PL/SQL packages and SQL scripts, and support technical integrations between Banner modules and other systems.

You will gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions, analyze and resolve functional and technical issues through root-cause analysis, and support system enhancements, patches, and upgrades through proper testing. Collaboration with internal teams, conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, and delivering functional, technical, and end-user training are key aspects of this role. Maintaining clear technical, functional, and user documentation is required.

Qualifications & Experience

A bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field is required, along with at least 8 years of hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner 9. Strong experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL is essential, along with proven experience working in higher-education ERP environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across both functional and technical domains.

Language Requirement

Fluent in Arabic and English (reading and writing)

Preferred

Experience working with Middle East higher-education institutions, community colleges, and relevant Ellucian or Oracle certifications is an advantage.
