Job Summary

As a key member of the Everwell clinical team, the Functional Medicine Consultant is responsible for delivering integrative, evidence-based care that blends conventional medicine with advanced diagnostics, functional protocols, and lifestyle interventions. The Consultant serves as a lead health strategist for members, helping them optimize health span, reverse chronic conditions, and perform at their best—physically, cognitively, and emotionally.

This role is central to Everwell’s preventative and regenerative philosophy, where education, facilitation, and resource empowerment form the foundation of our member journey.


Key Responsibilities

Patient Consultations & Care Planning

  • Lead 60 minute consultations rooted in deep case taking, patient education, and investigative diagnostics.
  • Build personalized care plans that integrate medical diagnostics, nutritional guidance, supplementation, IV therapy, bioidentical hormone replacement (if appropriate), and lifestyle protocols.
  • Partner with in-house specialists (e.g., dietitians, fitness, and performance coaches) to coordinate holistic care.

Diagnostic Interpretation & Functional Insight

  • Interpret advanced lab panels (e.g., hormonal, gut health, micronutrient, inflammation, cardiometabolic markers).
  • Translate findings into root-cause narratives that patients understand and trust.
  • Integrate functional, preventative, and regenerative medicine practices into diagnostic feedback.

Clinical Procedures & Interventions

  • Oversee therapeutic protocols including IV infusion plans, peptide therapies, hormone protocols, and supplementation regimes.
  • Maintain knowledge and comfort in managing minor medical procedures and emergency response.

Education, Communication & Thought Leadership

  • Act as an educator during consultations—empowering patients to take ownership of their health.
  • Participate in internal CPD seminars and public education sessions.
  • Support Everwell’s reputation through professional social media appearances, occasional media contributions, and expert talks.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EMR systems.
  • Ensure medical protocols follow DHA and Everwell guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the admin and clinical coordination team for seamless care pathways.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Hospitality is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a front desk or client-facing role—experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is highly preferred .
  • Strong understanding of patient confidentiality, insurance processes, and clinical terminology is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a calm and empathetic demeanor.
  • Presentable, well-groomed, and composed in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic or additional languages are a plus.


Education & Licensure:

  • MD, with a valid DHA License in General or Family Medicine (Functional Medicine Certification strongly preferred).
  • Additional training in functional, integrative, or lifestyle medicine (IFM, A4M, or similar).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.


Experience:

  • 5+ years in clinical medicine, with at least 2 years of experience in functional or integrative practice.
  • Proven success managing chronic illness, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune conditions, and health optimization cases.


Skills:

  • Deep understanding of functional diagnostics and lifestyle medicine.
  • Excellent communication and motivational interviewing skills.
  • Confidence working with cross-functional clinical teams.
  • High emotional intelligence and professionalism in premium service environments.
