Functional / Software Tester (Analyst)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Functional / Software Tester (Analyst) to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of applications and APIs. The candidate will perform manual and automated testing, validate functionalities, and collaborate with developers to deliver a high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze software requirements and design detailed test cases for various modules.

2. Perform manual and automated functional testing of applications and APIs.

3. Conduct API validation, verify responses, and ensure proper integration.

4. Log, track, and manage defects using testing tools.

5. Perform regression testing and re-test resolved bugs.

6. Document test results, prepare reports, and maintain testing records.

7. Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to understand and clarify functionality.

Required Qualification:

1. B.E/B.Tech / MCA / PG in Computer Science or related fields with( First Division or minimum 60% aggregate).

2. Knowledge of API testing concepts and tools.

3. Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

Required Skills:

1. Strong understanding of functional testing (manual & basic automation).

2. Ability to analyze requirements and prepare clear test cases.

3. Experience in defect logging and tracking.

4. Basic understanding of application security aspects.

5. Good communication and documentation skills.

6. Basic automation exposure (Selenium, Playwright, etc.)

7. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
