Fund Accountant

Job Overview

Duties

• Prepare and review financial statements for investment funds in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulatory standards.
• Perform daily cash management activities, including monitoring cash flows and reconciling bank accounts to ensure accurate fund liquidity tracking.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential risks related to fund performance or compliance issues.
• Ensure adherence to securities law and regulatory reporting requirements, maintaining comprehensive documentation for audits and inspections.
• Implement fraud prevention and detection measures by monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and conducting internal controls reviews.
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate audits, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
• Utilize advanced financial software systems to process transactions, generate reports, and maintain precise records of fund activities.
• Stay updated on industry standards such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), governmental accounting regulations, and technical accounting developments affecting fund operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1-3 years general ledger accounting experience
• Proficiency with financial software platforms
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills to interpret financial data accurately.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
