Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and energetic Fundraising Assistant with a strong focus on event planning and day-of execution to support the Development Team. The ideal candidate will help coordinate and execute fundraising events, assist with donor communications, and manage logistical aspects of development initiatives to increase support for the mission of 29 Acres. We are seeking candidates who have a can-do attitude with a solutions-oriented approach.

Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, event coordination, donor relations, or nonprofit
    development preferred.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media, and donor management software (e.g.,
    Hubspot, Murad, Canva, etc.).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Passion for the mission of 29 Acres and a positive, collaborative, self-starter attitude.

Working Conditions
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required for events. (We have a flex-time policy)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for event setup.
  • In office, Monday thru Friday


RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Planning and Execution
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of all fundraising events, including annual galas, golf tournaments, donor appreciation events, community fundraisers, and third-party events.
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
  • Support with event setup and breakdown, registration, volunteer coordination, and attendee experience.
  • Coordinate event communications, invitations, RSVPs, and follow-up.
  • Other event administrative support as needed.
Fundraising and Donor Support
  • Maintain a donor database (HubSpot), ensuring accurate records of gifts, pledges, and donor communication.
  • Prepare donor thank-you letters, acknowledgment packages, and correspondence.
  • Assist in donor prospecting, research, and donor profile.
  • Support mailing campaigns, North Texas Giving Day efforts, and grant-related tasks.
Administrative and Team Support
  • Provide administrative support to the Development Team, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining records.
  • Collaborate across departments to support storytelling, marketing, and branding efforts.
  • Participate in team meetings and organizational events as needed.
