Role Summary: Position drives revenue and brand awareness by developing strategic campaigns, managing donor relationships, and creating compelling content. Key duties include planning, fundraising events, writing grant proposals, maintaining CRM systems, and managing social media/media outreach to meet organizational financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Fundraising Strategy & Execution: Create and implement annual campaigns, capital campaigns, and fundraising plans to achieve revenue goals.
· Donor Relations & Cultivation: Identify, reach out to, and steward potential and current donors, including managing donor databases (CRM).
· Grant Writing & Sponsorships: Identify new funding opportunities, apply for grants, and secure business sponsorships.
· Communications & Marketing: Develop content for digital and print media, including newsletters, website updates, social media posts, and impact reports.
· Event Planning: Oversee and coordinate fundraising events and promotional events.
· Brand Stewardship: Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all external communications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Experience: Proven experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, and communications.
· Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling, donor-centric narratives.
· Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with donors, volunteers, and staff.
· Technical Proficiencies: Experience with CRM software (e.g., Donor Perfect and digital tools (e.g., social media management, Adobe InDesign).
· Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Experience and Education Requirements
· Education: A Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
· Experience: Approximately 5+ years of proven experience in fundraising and communications or similar fundraising roles.
