Position: Furniture Carpenter

Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Purpose:

To construct, repair, and install wooden furniture and fixtures according to design specifications, technical drawings, and quality standards. The Furniture Carpenter must be skilled in manual and power tools, precise measurements, and detailed finishing work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and assemble wooden furniture, including cabinets, tables, chairs, wardrobes, kitchen units, and custom pieces.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement plans.
• Perform cutting, shaping, drilling, and sanding using hand tools and power tools.
• Ensure precise measurements and high-quality finishing for all furniture items.
• Install furniture and wooden fixtures at project sites or client locations when required.
• Repair damaged furniture or wooden structures using suitable methods and materials.
• Apply finishing techniques such as lamination, varnishing, polishing, edging, etc.
• Work with various materials like solid wood, MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, etc.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Collaborate with supervisors, designers, or project managers to meet project timelines.
• Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Furniture Carpenter in a workshop or project environment.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, carpentry tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and understand carpentry drawings and layout plans.
• Skilled in cutting, joining, assembling, and finishing furniture items.
• Good understanding of measurements, alignment, and surface quality.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality workmanship.
• Physically fit to handle carpentry tasks and lifting materials.

Preferred:

• Experience in custom furniture fabrication, interior fit-out, or joinery workshops.
• Knowledge of modern carpentry machines (panel saw, edge bander, router, etc.).
• Experience in onsite furniture installation is an advantage.
