Overview:

As a Furniture Designer specializing in residential furnishings, you will create innovative, functional, and trend-forward designs by translating market trends and consumer insights into original concepts, sketches, and 3D CAD models. A key part of your role will be adapting and customizing existing product designs to align with our brand’s style and standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive designs from concept to production while maintaining high craftsmanship and usability standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and customize furniture designs across seating, lighting, tables, storage, and accent pieces.
  • Adapt existing products to fit brand identity and market needs.
  • Monitor industry trends, materials, and customer preferences to ensure market-ready, on-trend products.
  • Specify materials, finishes, and construction methods balancing aesthetics, durability, cost, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with product development, sales, and production to ensure manufacturability and quality.
  • Manage the design process from ideation through prototyping and final approvals.
  • Present concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and incorporate feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Lighting Design, Industrial Design, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in furniture, upholstery, lighting, cabinetry, or product design (hard goods).
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling/rendering software (e.g., CAD, Rhino, SketchUp).
  • Strong knowledge of materials, joinery techniques, and furniture construction methods.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
