Furniture finisher

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Furniture Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and restoration, with the ability to work with various materials and finishes. This role involves preparing, finishing, and restoring furniture pieces to meet high-quality standards. The Furniture Finisher will collaborate with other team members to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and applying stains or paints.
• Apply finishes such as varnishes, lacquers, or oils to enhance the appearance of furniture.
• Repair and restore damaged furniture using appropriate techniques and materials.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the finishing process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.

Skills

• Experience with various hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in furniture finishing.
• Ability to use various paint spray systems to apply CV, lacquers and stains.
• Capability of performing heavy lifting as required during the finishing process.
• Previous experience in the restoration industry is highly desirable.
