Furniture Fitting & Service Technician (Office Chair Specialist)

Job Summary:

We are immediately hiring 4 skilled Furniture Fitting and Service Technicians to be the face of our service delivery. This role requires expert hands-on repair and maintenance skills, coupled with a mandatory readiness to travel extensively to institutional client sites. You will lead service projects across Kerala and undertake assignments in other South Indian states as needed, ensuring all repairs and fittings meet the highest quality and client satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and Repair: Independently diagnose mechanical failures, wear and tear, and structural issues in various office chairs (high-back, ergonomic, executive, visitor chairs).
• Extensive Field Service: Conduct efficient and professional service and fitting services directly at client locations, including frequent travel throughout Kerala and occasional travel to South Indian states.
• AMC Execution: Execute preventative maintenance checks and servicing as part of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) across our service geography.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with the Helpers to ensure all necessary tools and parts are prepared and transported effectively for out-of-station jobs.
• Technical Reporting: Maintain accurate service records, detail parts used, and report repair findings clearly to the Operations team.
• Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients on-site, providing clear explanations of the repair work and solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of [2-4 years] of verifiable experience as a furniture fitter, chair technician, or similar technical repair role is mandatory.
• Travel Readiness: MANDATORY willingness and ability to travel frequently, often for multiple days, across Kerala and to other South Indian states.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the mechanical and structural components of office chairs.
• ITI/Technical Certification: Relevant technical training (e.g., ITI certification in Fitter or Mechanical stream) is highly preferred.
• Communication: Clear communication skills in Malayalam and English (basic verbal) for client and internal team interaction.
• Transportation: Must possess a valid two-wheeler license and reliable personal transportation for local travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
