Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Furniture Product Designer with a strong background in bespoke furniture development and detailing. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in AutoCAD, have worked under a recognized and profound Architect, and possess strong product development knowledge from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed furniture product design concepts aligned with the firm’s design principles and client requirements.
• Create accurate AutoCAD drawings including plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, and manufacturing drawings.
• Work closely with architects, interior designers, and the production team to ensure design feasibility and precision.
• Conduct site measurements and translate them into precise working drawings.
• Coordinate with vendors, carpenters, manufacturers, and craftsmen for prototyping and final production.
• Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and cost estimates where required.
• Ensure that all furniture pieces meet quality, structural, functional, ergonomic, and aesthetic standards.
• Engage in research of materials, hardware, mechanisms, and new furniture technologies.
• Maintain systematic records of drawings, design revisions, and client approvals.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in AutoCAD (Mandatory) for full technical detailing and execution drawings.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry joinery, furniture construction, manufacturing tolerances, and materials (wood, veneer, laminates, fabrics, metal, etc.).
• Strong visualization, conceptual thinking, and design detailing abilities.
• Ability to convert conceptual sketches into production-ready drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills for interacting with internal and external teams.
• Strong time management and the ability to work under deadlines.

Qualification & Experience

• Degree / Diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or related discipline (Mandatory).
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in furniture product design.
• Must have worked under a reputed / well-recognized Architect or Design Firm in a professional studio environment.
• Demonstrated portfolio of executed furniture projects is required.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to conduct site visits when needed.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a structured design environment.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and design-focused mindset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
