We are growing and Turner Furniture is seeking an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Sales & Room Design Consultant to join our team. We are looking for a professional sales associate with a minimum of 2 years of consultative selling experience, room layout and interior design knowledge are required, and a proven history of generating $1M+ in annual sales of home furnishings, including mattresses.

What You’ll Do
As a Design Consultant, you will work one-on-one with clients to understand their needs, provide expert product recommendations, and help design rooms that reflect their style and lifestyle. You’ll guide customers through the entire sales process while delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional consultative selling
- Assist customers with room layout, furniture selection, and complete home design solutions
- Create engaging PowerPoint presentations and visual design concepts for clients
- Recommend furniture, accessories, and décor to complete rooms or entire homes
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through outstanding service
- Stay current on furniture trends, product knowledge, and design styles
- Maintain showroom appearance and merchandising standards
- Process sales transactions through POS systems
- Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional customer experiences
- Consistently meet and exceed individual sales goals
Ultimately, the duties of a design consultant are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.
Our Furniture design consultants are up-to-date on the latest fashions and trends. Check out our convenient store hours 10:00-6:00 PM Monday thru Saturday and 11:00-4:00 PM on Sunday. Responsibilities
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assess clients needs and provide assistance and information on product features
- Welcome clients to the store and answer their queries
- “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
- Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
- Actively seek out clients in store
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
Skills
- Proven record and experience in the home furnishing industry.
- Hands-on experience with POS transactions
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
- Availability to work flexible shifts
- High school degree; BS degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
