FWS - Assistant - Student - Social Media Influencer

Georgia Highlands College is a multi-campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 6,000 students in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama across its five locations in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, and Dallas. The Federal Work-Study Social Media Influencer will play a vital role in promoting Georgia Highlands College (GHC) by creating engaging and dynamic content to enhance student retention and recruitment efforts. Reporting directly to the Campus Marketing team, this position is responsible for showcasing life at GHC through social media platforms, ensuring the content stays on-brand and helps maintain top-of-mind awareness for the college.

High school diploma or equivalent and current GHC undergraduate student with:¿

• Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) currently being met¿
• Current-Year FAFSA on file with all verifications an any other requirements complete¿
• Currently enrolled for at least six (6) credit hours (in most instances)¿

• Some prior experience is preferred but not required. Job specific training will be provided.
• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study
• Enthusiastic about social media trends, content creation, and digital marketing
• Strong skills in photography, videography, and video editing (experience with apps like Canva, Adobe Spark, or CapCut is a plus)
• Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and stay organized
• Must be willing to travel between campuses as needed (transportation provided or reimbursed when applicable)

Salary is $12 per hour,

up to 19 hours per week
