Gallery Associate - Fine Furniture, Art, and Antiques

Raleigh Furniture Gallery is a fast-paced furniture, antiques, fine art, and home décor gallery offering a curated mix of vintage, antique, consignment, and new inventory. We are looking for a creative, organized, and customer-focused Gallery Associate to join our team.

Position Overview

The Gallery Associate will assist with day-to-day gallery operations, online sales management, website updates, social media marketing, and customer relations. This position combines retail sales, marketing, content creation, administrative responsibilities, and hands-on gallery work, including furniture moving, merchandising, and creating visually appealing displays throughout the showroom. Because no two days are the same at Raleigh Furniture Gallery, this role is ideal for a dependable “jack-of-all-trades” who enjoys variety, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team and enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

Customer Service, Sales & Gallery Operations

  • Provide exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and through email
  • Assist customers with furniture and décor selections
  • Help customers load furniture and décor purchases
  • Maintain a welcoming and organized gallery environment
  • Hands-on gallery work, including furniture moving, merchandising, and creating visually appealing displays throughout the showroom.

Website, Online Sales & Marketing

  • Post and remove inventory from the company website
  • Prepare and send weekly email newsletters
  • Manage and respond to inquiries from online sales channels
  • Create and renew listings on platforms such as Chairish, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and more
  • Create social media content
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies
  • Maintain consistent brand presentation across online platforms

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Interest in furniture, antiques, artwork, interior design, or home décor
  • Experience with social media, online marketplaces, and basic computer programs
  • Experience in any or all of the following would be a plus
  • Canva
  • WordPress and web development
  • Photography and photo editing
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently
  • The ability to move furniture pieces weighing 50lbs.
  • Comfortable occasionally working alone in the store
  • Positive attitude with a flexible, team-oriented mindset
  • Weekend availability required
  • Associates Degree (or equivalent work experience) or higher preferred
  • Ability to pass all applicable background checks and have legal authorization to work in the United States
