POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Martha's Vineyard Sharks are seeking multiple Game Day Interns for the upcoming season. This is a hands-on, fast-paced internship that runs from the end of May through mid-August, covering our pre-season, regular season, and post-season.
As a Game Day Intern, you will play a key role in creating a fun and engaging ballpark experience for fans while also supporting the behind-the-scenes operations of the team. You will gain real-world experience in a professional organization modeled after Minor League Baseball, with opportunities to develop skills in fan engagement, promotions, and event operations. While not required, a good understanding of baseball is a major plus.
PLEASE NOTE: Internships are unpaid and interns are responsible for their own housing.
Responsibilities:

Arrive early to assist with game day setup and preparation.

Interact with fans and help run in-game promotions, kids’ activities, and mascot duties.

Support concessions, serve post-game meals, and assist with cleanup.

Switch roles and assist other interns as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Participate in community events and weekly outbound marketing (distributing schedules/tickets).

Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization.
Requirements:

Must be a current college student and at least 18 years old.

Must have reliable housing and transportation on Martha’s Vineyard.

Must be able to work most/all home games, including evenings and weekends.

Comfortable interacting with fans of all ages.

Ability to handle physical tasks and work in an outdoor environment.

Flexible, team-oriented, and willing to assist in a variety of behind-the-scences roles.
