We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Gaprek Summer Transition Lead Teacher to join our team and lead our summer program focused on early childhood education and transitional learning experiences. Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic summer curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored for young children.
- Lead classroom activities that promote childhood development, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques to support diverse learner needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive social interactions among children.
- Monitor individual child progress through observation and assessment tools, including standardized testing where applicable, to inform instruction and support early intervention efforts.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to ensure a collaborative approach to learning.
- Maintain organized classroom management practices that promote a respectful learning environment conducive to active engagement and child welfare.
Qualifications
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, special education needs, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with Gaprek standards or other child-centered educational philosophies is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Prior classroom experience with Gaprek is required.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches based on individual student needs while maintaining a structured learning environment
Pay: $6,792.63 per year
