Garage Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Garage Controller to manage the daily operations of our automotive garage. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, has strong organizational skills, and is comfortable coordinating between customers, technicians, and suppliers. You'll be responsible for everything from job card management to billing and spare parts coordination—ensuring that the workshop runs smoothly every day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the garage and ensure workflow efficiency
• Prepare and assign job cards to mechanics based on work requirements
• Monitor job progress and ensure quality and timely service delivery
• Prepare customer bills and manage payment collection
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and services
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts and materials
• Manage and maintain inventory of tools and spares
• Schedule and oversee procurement of parts when required
• Maintain good communication with clients and vendors
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the workshop
• Submit daily/weekly reports to management.

Bonus Responsibilities (Optional):

• Create and manage content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
• Capture photos/videos of completed work to promote services online
• Track leads and conversions from social media content

Required Skills:

• Prior experience in garage/workshop coordination or similar role
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and services
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong organization and time management abilities
• Proficient in basic billing systems or tools
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree is a plus)
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Basic social media marketing skills (preferred but not mandatory)
