Garage Supervisor or floor incharge

Offroad Garage Floor Incharge / Supervisor Location: Sharjah

Reports To: Operations Manager / Garage Owner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly professional and technically skilled Garage Floor Incharge / Supervisor to manage daily workshop operations in a high-performance offroad garage. This role requires a balance of technical oversight, team leadership, customer interaction, and coordination with the sales department. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with offroad vehicles and the ability to manage the expectations of a high-end clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Workshop Floor Management

• Oversee all mechanical work including repairs, upgrades, and custom modifications on offroad vehicles.
• Assign jobs to technicians based on skill and workload, ensuring timely completion.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency on the workshop floor.

2. Technical Supervision

• Conduct quality control checks on completed work.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to the team.
• Stay updated on the latest offroad vehicle technologies, parts, and systems.

3. Customer Relations & Sales Coordination

• Work closely with the sales team to understand customer expectations, vehicle requirements, and modification plans.
• Communicate directly with high-end clients to explain technical work, provide updates, and handle concerns with professionalism.
• Act as the bridge between sales, workshop staff, and customers to ensure a seamless service experience.
• Provide expert input during pre-sales discussions when needed (e.g., feasibility of mods, lead time, technical limitations).

4. Team Leadership

• Train and mentor mechanics and technicians to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Maintain a disciplined, team-oriented workshop culture.
• Evaluate technician performance and provide regular feedback.

5. Inventory and Equipment

• Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure timely availability of parts and tools.
• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.

6. Job Documentation & Reporting

• Review and update job cards, inspection checklists, and customer reports.
• Maintain accurate records of work done, parts used, and time taken.

7. Safety and Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workshop operations follow local regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety briefings.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in an automotive workshop (offroad specialization preferred).
• Prior supervisory experience in a garage or service center.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with high-value clients and internal sales teams.
• Technical expertise in 4x4 systems, offroad suspensions, tuning, wiring, and custom builds.
• Knowledge of premium aftermarket brands
• Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, job card systems, inventory software).

Preferred:

• Experience in a luxury or performance-focused garage environment.
• Familiarity with motorsport or adventure/offroad expedition vehicles.
• Ability to handle multiple high-value projects under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
