Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Garbage Truck Driver holding a valid CDL A or B license, specializing in Side Arm, Front Load, Roll-Off, and/or Rear Load trucks. This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of commercial waste collection vehicles, ensuring efficient and safe disposal services for our community. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a variety of commercial waste collection trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and side arm models with manual transmissions.
  • Load and unload waste materials efficiently using appropriate truck attachments and mechanisms.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all DOT regulations.
  • Drive through designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks related to waste collection, ensuring proper handling of materials.
  • Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, loads, and disposal activities for reporting purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route changes or operational issues.

Experience

  • Valid CDL A or B license with relevant endorsements for commercial driving and waste collection vehicles.
  • Proven experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Prior delivery or collection driver experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with load & unload procedures for flatbed or roll-off containers is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and waste management operations. Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
