Must have knowledge of plants and trees.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on plants, gardening supplies, lawn care, and landscape maintenance
• Assist customers in selecting products that meet their gardening needs and offer creative design ideas when appropriate
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising of the garden center to enhance shopping experiences
• Stock shelves efficiently, manage inventory levels, and process incoming shipments accurately
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts with precision
• Support seasonal displays and promotional events to boost sales and customer engagement
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns promptly
• Help with placing orders.

Requirements

• Passion for gardening, horticulture, lawn care, and landscape maintenance with a desire to share knowledge with others
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers
• Previous retail experience including cashiering, merchandising, or stock management is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
• Excellent organizational skills to manage stocking tasks and maintain an attractive store environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods while engaging actively with customers and products
• Knowledge of plants

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
