Garden Center Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including box trucks, dump trucks, truck/trailer
• Load and unload merchandise.
• Deliver goods to customers’ locations promptly while maintaining professional communication and excellent customer service.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Follow designated routes accurately, adhering to traffic laws and company policies for route driving and shuttle driving.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspection records.
• Assist in warehouse operations when needed by moving inventory within the yard.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driver roles.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic vehicle maintenance to troubleshoot minor issues.
• Ability to operate various heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or dump trucks safely.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and interacting professionally with customers and team members.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
