Duties

• Plant, cultivate, and maintain a variety of flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns using appropriate gardening techniques
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely to prune, trim, mow, edge, and perform general landscape maintenance
• Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and turf areas
• Manage greenhouse environments by monitoring temperature, humidity, and plant health for optimal growth
• Apply horticultural knowledge to diagnose plant diseases or pests and take corrective actions
• Assist with farming activities such as soil preparation, planting schedules, and crop rotation when applicable
• Conduct regular landscape inspections to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments

Qualifications

• Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture or related fields with a strong understanding of plant care principles
• Hands-on experience with irrigation systems and greenhouse management techniques
• Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control
• Ability to operate hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes as well as power tools like trimmers and blowers safely
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance best practices for sustainable gardening and environmental stewardship
• Growing experience in cultivating various plant species with attention to soil health and watering needs
• Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
