Gardener - Landscape Bed Maintenance Technician

Full Time and Part time Positions Available - Garden Bed Maintenance Technician

Greenscape Services is looking for people to join our team! We are a growing, highly rated lawn care, landscape and snow removal company located in Hermantown, MN. We offer services for both residential and commercial clients in the Duluth and surrounding areas. Responsibilities:

• Garden bed maintenance includes weeding, pruning, and deadheading for plants, shrubs and trees. Seasonal cleanups.
• Seasonal planting, watering, and application of organic amendments and pest prevention. Some relocating/transplanting of perennials.
• Installing posts and wire fencing to protect young plants
• Laying compost and mulch. Adding boarders/edging to garden beds.
• Monitoring plant health and reporting concerns to the crew lead
• Operating landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining clean, organized, professional job sites
• Effectively communicate with customers regarding services and treatments in a professional manner.
• Accurately record the use of products and complete necessary paperwork.
• Optional: Winter months include working snow removal for contracted sites.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Valid MN Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Current DOT Health Card or able to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
• Effective time management skills and ability to adhere to schedules and routes with help and direction.
• Ability to perform work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the day
• Must have good communication skills with management, employees, clients, homeowners, and production staff.

Job Type:

• Type: In person. Full-time, Part-time Options
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday, potential for Friday. Overtime available.
• Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour. Wage is dependent on experience with the option of some overtime during the peak of the season.
• Year-Round Work Available -Typical summer season is from April to November. Winter months include working snow removal for contracted sites.

Experience:

• Basic plant knowledge (specific to MN and area) (Required)
• Gardening or related work: 1 year (Preferred)
• Basic horticulture training or coursework (Preferred)
• Landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance experience (Preferred)

Pay: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour
