Gardener/Horticulturist

The RK Group are responsible for unique outdoor spaces. The landscape team will work year round to ensure the grounds are event ready. To accomplish this, the Gardner will maintain turf, trees, plants, and decorative features as needed to beautify the space. URGENTLY HIRING!

Responsibilities of an GARDENER/Horticulturist

• Mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawns
• Weeding and mulching Landscaping beds
• General Labor
• Assist in planning, building and growing the gardens
• Locate and plant shrubs, trees, and flowers recommended for particular landscape effect or those selected by approved plans
• Spray trees, shrubs and apply supplemental liquid and dry nutrients to herbs, vegetables, lettuces, lawn, trees and shrubs
• Mows grass, trims trees, shrubs and plants, and fertilizes lawns, plant materials and aerate planting areas
• Gathers and disposes of all debris, paper or leaves found in areas throughout the property
• Installs, maintains and repairs irrigation systems, automatic timers and valves
• Operates and performs minor routine service on equipment used by the landscape department, including lubricating equipment, adding fuel, oil, water, and other fluids when needed
• Maintain the grounds as required by watering, weeding, clipping prune gardens as necessary
• Responsible for the condition and general health of the soil and plants

Preferred Qualifications and Skills of an GARDENER/Horticulturist

• 1- years of experience in similar gardening or landscaping
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This position is primarily an AM role.
• Ability to drive, transport equipment and purchase needed supplies or product is ideal.
• Must have a clean background
• Physical stamina, including lifting 50 pounds, walking long distances, bending, pulling, and climbing

Expectations

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
