Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented GC-MS Analyst with 3–4 years of hands-on expertise in Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative analyses, developing methods, and ensuring accurate and reliable results to support our research, quality, and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain GC-MS instrumentation (including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance).
• Perform method development, validation, and optimization for the analysis of organic compounds in diverse sample matrices.
• Conduct sample preparation, extraction, and derivatization techniques as required for analysis.
• Analyze complex data, perform qualitative and quantitative interpretation, and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, ISO/NABL, FSSAI, or relevant regulatory guidelines (as applicable).
• Maintain accurate records of analyses, instrument logs, and laboratory documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, Quality Control, and Regulatory Affairs to support project objectives.
• Train and guide junior analysts/technicians when required.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety procedures and quality management systems.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of proven hands-on experience with GC-MS in an analytical, pharmaceutical, food testing, or environmental laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in data analysis software related to GC-MS (e.g., Agilent ChemStation, MassHunter, Thermo Xcalibur, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO 17025, NABL, or regulatory compliance standards is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
