Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair gas appliances, pipes, and related systems in accordance with safety regulations and standards
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plumbing and gas systems to ensure optimal performance
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete installation and repair tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely to facilitate installation or repairs
- Read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute work orders
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks carried out
- Ensure all work complies with current health and safety legislation and company policies
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing fixtures or gas-related components as required
- Drive company vehicles for site visits when necessary, adhering to all traffic regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in plumbing, gas engineering, or related mechanical roles
- Proficiency with welding techniques suitable for gas systems or metalwork repairs
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of plumbing systems and gas safety standards
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements, quantities, and conversions
- Competent in carpentry tasks relevant to installation or repair works
- Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique
- Valid commercial driving licence with clean driving record preferred
- Experience with assembly processes involving plumbing or mechanical components
