Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in plumbing and gas systems, with the ability to undertake installation, maintenance, and repair work across a variety of settings. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, plumbing systems, and associated equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Read technical drawings and mechanical diagrams to accurately execute work plans.
- Troubleshoot plumbing and gas system issues, providing effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any safety hazards or system failures.
- Assist in assembly of plumbing fixtures or mechanical components as required.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or Plumber with a solid understanding of plumbing systems, gas regulations, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in welding, using hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to both residential and commercial installations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repair tasks.
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for travel between sites.
- Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to system installations or repairs.
- Previous involvement in assembly work or working with complex mechanical systems is desirable.
