Gas Utility Construction - Fuser

We're hiring a fuser to join our gas utility construction crew performing residential gas service line installations. If you have experience with plastic pipe fusion — HDPE, PE, or polyethylene piping — we want to hear from you. Your fusion knowledge will put you on a fast track with a growing company that values skilled hands in the field.

What You'll Do:

As a Fuser, you'll work alongside our experienced crew to support residential gas service line installations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with plastic pipe fusion operations, including butt fusion, electrofusion, and socket fusion tasks as directed
• Supporting trenching, excavation, and bell hole preparation
• Helping set up and break down job sites, keeping work areas organized and safe
• Handling and staging fusion equipment, pipe, fittings, and related materials for the crew
• Following all safety guidelines, company procedures, and applicable pipeline safety regulations at all times
• Communicating clearly with foremen and crew members to keep the job moving efficiently

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with plastic pipe fusion (butt fusion, electrofusion, or socket fusion) is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with HDPE/PE pipe handling, preparation, and joining techniques is a plus
• Valid driver's license preferred but not required
• Willingness to perform physical, outdoor labor in varying weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and a team player
• Ability to take direction and continue developing your skills on the job
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing
• Clean background check required — no felony, theft, assault, or drug-related convictions

Candidates with fusion certifications or prior gas utility experience will be given priority consideration, but we're also open to training motivated individuals who bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
