Locums - Gastroenterology - Sylva, North Carolina

Start Date: ASAP - OngoingCoverage: Clinic + Call Coverage (weekdays and weekends)Facilities: Two hospitals (86 beds and 154 beds)Facility will accept multiple providers

• Reason for Coverage: Shortages in GI coverage across 2 hospitals creating difficulty managing inpatients and screening backlog

• Workload: Equivalent to full-time

• Duties:

  • Clinic and call coverage

  • Cover both hospitals while on call, so patients remain closer to home

  • Assigned and unassigned patients

• Call Details:

  • 30-minute call response time required

  • Phone Consults: 6-10 per shift

  • Call Patients Seen: 10+

  • Call Ratio: 100%

  • Admissions required

• Hospital Info: Stroke Certified

• EMR: McKesson and Athena

• Board Certified / Board Eligible - Required

• Active North Carolina License - Required

• Fellowship - Preferred

• BLS - Required
