Emerging Tech is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Gastroenterology Physician to provide full-time on-site and on-call gastroenterology services to Veterans as part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Finger Lakes Healthcare System in Rochester, NY. The physician will deliver comprehensive gastroenterology care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the VA’s mission to provide exceptional medical services to our nation’s Veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of gastrointestinal disorders.
Conduct consultations, follow-up visits, and ongoing monitoring to evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, pharmacists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated and evidence-based patient care.
Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including endoscopy, imaging, and pathology results to guide clinical decisions.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical review boards.
Provide on-call coverage for gastroenterology services as assigned.
Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly in the VA’s electronic medical record (EMR) system, in compliance with VA standards.
Maintain compliance with VA credentialing, privileging, and continuing professional requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA), or another accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Current, active, full, and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology.
Minimum of three (3) years of post-residency clinical experience in gastroenterology practice preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and maintain strong communication with clinical and administrative personnel.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary range: $500,000 – $575,000 annually, based on experience and procedural workload.
Eligibility for annual performance-based bonuses.
