Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Board-certified, NY-licensed Gastroenterology Physician or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert care for patients experiencing digestive system disorders, utilizing your clinical expertise to deliver comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment plans. Your proactive approach will help improve patient outcomes through precise procedures, medication management, and patient education. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and symptom evaluation related to gastrointestinal health.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, biopsies, and other minimally invasive techniques to identify gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Administer treatments including medication management, injections (e.g., Botulinum toxin), and procedural interventions like suturing or gastric lavage.
  • Manage acute pain and critical care cases involving gastrointestinal emergencies within hospital settings or outpatient clinics.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex cases involving ICU patients, trauma centers, or post-acute care environments.
  • Document patient encounters accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in clinical research and clinical trials aimed at advancing gastroenterology practices and improving patient outcomes.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of gastrointestinal physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems including ggastro, or similar platforms for medical records management. Training will be provided.
  • Skilled in performing endoscopic procedures like colonoscopies and gastroscopies with OR experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
  • Ability to manage complex cases involving infectious disease care, acute pain management, ventilator support, dialysis, or tube feeding in diverse clinical environments.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for safe procedural practice.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms for remote consultations and follow-up care delivery.
  • Competence in triage, patient assessment during intake processes, and discharge planning within hospital or outpatient settings.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $450,000.00 per year
