The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is recruiting a per-diem gastrointestinal and/or Liver pathologist. The position is open rank and both recent fellowship graduates and mid-career/senior physicians are strongly encouraged to apply. BIDMC is a tertiary care facility with 743 licensed beds and an internationally renowned principal teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School with NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center-affiliated Cancer Center.
The BIDMC Department of Pathology has launched new strategic initiatives in cutting-edge Precision Diagnostics (including cancer genomics, multiplex biomarker theranostics, and computational/digital pathology). In addition, the Pathology department will be part of the exciting new clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only freestanding adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer.
We are looking for an active, energetic, team-oriented faculty member to help us shape our future agenda and engage in areas that are being actively developed, in addition to possessing strong diagnostic skills in gastrointestinal and liver pathology.
The successful candidate will join a team of faculty to provide world-class diagnostics at BIDMC. Additionally, the candidate will support the vibrant training programs, including the pathology residency program, and GI/liver pathology fellowship program.
Applicants must be board certified in Pathology (AP or AP/CP) and must either hold, or be eligible for, a license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
