Gelato Chef

Overview:

I Scream Gelato is looking for a Gelato/Ice Cream chef to join our team. We are located at 5880 State Highway 121, Suite 102A, Plano, Texas 75024. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and a hard-working individual that already has experience with Gelato/Ice Cream making (preferably) or restaurant chef experience.

Responsibilities:

- Operate gelato making equipment and machinery

- Make gelato, pancake/waffles mix & popsicles

- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and taste

- Monitor and adjust temperatures and settings as needed

- Assist with inventory management, including ordering ingredients and supplies

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Must have experience in Gelato/Ice Cream making or as a restaurant chef

- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in product quality

- Familiarity with Gelato decorating techniques is a plus

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines

Requirements:
Prior Gelato/Ice Cream making and preparation experience or restaurant chef is required.

- Must be 18 years of age or older (18+)

- Must possess math skills sufficient to complete paperwork, comprehend recipes and adjust measurements as needed.

- Position requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

- Food handler’s certificate
