General Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with 3–10 years of experience to manage financial transactions, analyze records, and perform cost accounting duties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing actionable insights through costing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Compute and analyze product/service costing, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Develop and implement cost accounting systems and procedures.
• Monitor and control budgetary expenditures.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate costing and financial forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis between standard and actual costs and report findings.
• Recommend cost-efficient processes and support pricing strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proven expertise in cost accounting and cost analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books or Zoho Finance applications is required.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
