General Accountant

Job description:

We are currently seeking a professional Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry within Dubai.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing a wide range of accounting duties in line with UAE regulations.

Responsibilities:

-Prepare income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets in accordance with GAAP and local laws; report findings to senior management.

-Reconcile daily sales reports, verifying F&B revenues, complimentary items, and voids from the back-office system.

-Validate receivables from POS sales with Network International, MasterCard, Visa, Amex, and Union Pay, accounting for all relevant commission fees.

-Handle invoice booking for events, stock inventories, consumables, subscriptions, utility bills, and digital marketing expenditures.

-Manage accounts payable and receivable, improve vendor relations, negotiate favorable credit terms, and identify opportunities to reduce operational costs.

-Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank statements, credit cards, and AP/AR ledgers with customers, suppliers, and banks.

-Oversee cash flow management and forecasting to ensure timely supplier payments via online transfer, CDC, and PDC based on agreed terms.

-Administer payroll transfers through the WPS system.

-Calculate and generate CC & Cash tips and service charge reports in accordance with the management performance policy.

-Prepare and submit Dubai Municipality reports for the 7% revenue calculation fee.-Manage petty cash transactions, ensuring alignment with internal procurement policies.

-Handle tax calculations and return submissions in compliance with UAE tax regulations.

-Perform regular inventory stock

Qualifications:

. Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the F&B industry in Dubai.

. Philippines Nationality only

. Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT, and tax compliance

. Proficient in POS systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel

. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

. Fluency in English
