About the Role
Siddiq Gifts, a rapidly growing retail company in the UAE, is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain organized accounting records, and support the company in achieving strong financial control.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, invoices, receipts, and daily transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
- Handle VAT calculations, submissions, and ensure tax compliance.
- Process payroll and employee salary disbursements.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and expenses.
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (retail or trading sector preferred).
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or SAP.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, VAT, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).

About the Role
Siddiq Gifts is looking for a strong, responsible, and highly capable General Accountant who can take full control of the accounting department. This person will not only manage daily accounting tasks but also organize, structure, and improve the entire finance function.
We need someone with leadership skills — a person who can work independently, make strong decisions, and request additional staff for the department when needed to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead all daily accounting activities.
- Set up, organize, and improve the accounting department.
- Identify staffing needs and request additional team members when required.
- Maintain accurate financial records, invoices, and reports.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Manage VAT calculations and tax compliance.
- Oversee payroll and salary processing.
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow.
- Communicate confidently with auditors and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
- Provide financial guidance to management and support business decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience (retail or trading sector preferred).
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar software.
