General Accountant

Position Overview

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Issue quotations and invoices to clients
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Follow up and collect payments from clients via email or phone
• Record and manage petty cash transactions
• Assist in recording and monitoring company expenses
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting procedures
• Assist with audits and tax filings
• Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
• Perform other accounting duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
• Knowledge of Tally Prime is required
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheet and accounting software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Adaptable, proactive, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
