General Accountant - Arabic Speaker

Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and verify all financial transactions (receipts, payments, journal entries, etc.).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring proper reconciliation.
  • Process payroll in coordination with the HR department.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure accurate documentation for all disbursements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Monitor company expenses and assist in budget preparation.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
  • Support the Finance Manager during audits by providing required documents and clarifications.
  • Maintain proper filing of financial documents for easy retrieval and reference.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience (preferably in the real estate or construction sector).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and UAE financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and MS Excel.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication in Arabic(English is a plus).
