Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in preparing financial reports, and responsible to manage full-cycle accounting operations in Tally ERP.
Job Profile:
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow) and records in compliance with company policies, local regulations and accounting standards.
- Submit financial reports for management, highlighting key trends, variances, and insights.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and other general ledger accounts. Investigate discrepancies and take corrective actions as needed.
- Process payroll, employee benefits, and expense reimbursements.
- Prepare and submit VAT, Corporate Tax returns, and other statutory filings on time.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and completed in a timely manner.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management decisions.
- Support internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Supporting the finance department with various administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience working with Tally ERP / Prime and Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and UAE tax laws (including VAT).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
