Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiology Physician to join our esteemed healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cardiovascular medicine, including advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization and vascular interventional radiography. This role involves providing comprehensive cardiac care, performing diagnostic evaluations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews focused on cardiovascular health.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiac conditions utilizing EHR systems such as Epic and EMR systems for accurate documentation.
- Perform or supervise advanced procedures including cardiac catheterization, catheterization, and interventional cardiology interventions.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging such as CT scans, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic radiology related to cardiology.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medication management, lifestyle modifications, and procedural interventions.
- Collaborate with specialists in related fields such as endocrinology, pulmonology, nephrology, and neurology for comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in clinical research trials and contribute to ongoing medical research efforts within cardiology.
- Educate patients on disease management, preventive care, and health coaching strategies to promote long-term wellness.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records according to hospital standards.
- Engage in discharge planning, post-operative care, and follow-up consultations to optimize recovery outcomes.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure as a Physician specializing in Cardiology.
- Proven experience in inpatient and outpatient cardiology settings, including Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred.
- Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic and EMR systems; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding is advantageous.
- Expertise in performing cardiac catheterization, vascular interventional radiography, neurocritical care, and other interventional procedures.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and clinical research methodologies.
- Experience with ultrasound imaging modalities like nuclear medicine or diagnostic radiology is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across various specialties including critical care, emergency medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and family medicine.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are preferred.
