AESOM is actively hiring a detail-oriented and performance-driven GC Estimator with proven experience in U.S.-based construction estimation.

This is a critical position within our estimating division, supporting major U.S. commercial and residential construction projects. We are seeking professionals who understand U.S. construction standards, cost structures, and bid submission processes.

If you have hands-on experience preparing competitive and accurate bids for U.S. General Contractors, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs using PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar software.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates aligned with U.S. pricing standards.
• Utilize RSMeans or equivalent cost databases for pricing validation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain bid logs, cost databases, and estimation records.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.

Mandatory Requirements (Strictly Required)

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on U.S. construction estimation experience (General Contractor side preferred).
• Strong understanding of U.S. construction methods, materials, and trade sequencing.
• Proficiency in PlanSwift, Bluebeam, RSMeans, or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong numerical accuracy and analytical capability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight bid submission deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• Experience estimating U.S. commercial, retail, multifamily, or residential projects.
• Familiarity with U.S. building codes and permit documentation.
• Experience working with U.S.-based General Contractors.
