General Contractor Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Contractor Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various phases of construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on-site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple trades and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to successful project completion.

Duties

  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized work environment
  • Support skilled tradespeople by handling materials, tools, and equipment needed for various tasks
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently under supervision
  • Help with framing, drywall installation, roofing, paintin, flooring, demo concrete finishing, and masonry work as directed
  • Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and assist with layout tasks
  • Perform demolition, site preparation, and restoration activities as required
  • Support heavy equipment operation and material fabrication processes when trained
  • Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members

Skills

  • Familiarity with construction management principles and construction estimating processes
  • Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of various trades including carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and drywall installation
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
  • Basic understanding of construction inspection standards and quality control measures
  • Skills in concrete forming, finishing, tile laying, plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, glass installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, flooring installation, welding, welding certification preferred
  • Experience with restoration projects and hardscape or landscape work is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Willingness to learn new skills such as Bluebeam software for digital project documentation

Job Type: Full-time
