General Contractor Laborer

Responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and organization to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and finishing work
• Support skilled tradespeople in tasks including plumbing, electrical work, roofing, masonry, and carpentry
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to aid in accurate project execution
• Perform concrete finishing, formwork setup, stucco application, and masonry work as needed
• Help with installation of doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, tile laying, glass installation, and other fixtures
• Operate heavy equipment under supervision for excavation or material transportation when required
• Conduct routine inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications

Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction tasks
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes
• Familiarity with construction inspection procedures and quality control measures
• Skills in various trades including carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), roofing, masonry, welding, plastering, and restoration
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations on construction sites
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors
• Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving

Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
