General Dentist

Overview
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and motivated General Dentist to join our growing dental practice in Falls Church, VA. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality dental care while ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.

This position requires working three days per week (Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) with no exceptions. (Wednesday may vary if needed.) Additional days may be added as the practice expands.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
• Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options.
• Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in all procedures.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices, including proficiency in software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix.
• Manage pediatric patients with compassion and expertise in pediatric dentistry.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred; familiarity with general dentistry practices is essential.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging.
• Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings is highly desirable.
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Ability to perform complex dental procedures while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $147,954.84 - $200,182.19 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
