Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated, personable associate dentist who is eager to grow clinically and professionally in a supportive, high-quality private practice setting. Our office treats a mix of PPO and Medi-Cal patients, providing an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a diverse patient base. The position is ideal for a new graduate or a dentist with 1-2 years of experience who wants mentorship, consistency, and a long-term position with room to develop speed, confidence, and a strong clinical foundation. Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Utilize advanced dental technologies and software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix for efficient patient management and medical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide pediatric dentistry services with an emphasis on creating a comfortable atmosphere for young patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in a four-handed dentistry approach to enhance patient care efficiency.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures to promote long-term dental health.
Skills
- Proficient in general dentistry practices including endodontics, oral surgery, and dental extractions.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to the field.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable along with the ability to connect with younger patients effectively.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and the ability to interpret radiographs accurately.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication to foster trust and comfort among patients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of care delivery.
